We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Engineer with a strong background in the contracting field. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services for construction projects. This position requires a strong understanding of procurement principles, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Responsibilities: 1. Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project requirements and organizational goals. 2. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and evaluate their performance. 3. Source and select suppliers, negotiate terms and conditions, and establish contractual agreements. 4. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to determine procurement needs and specifications. 5. Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information. 6. Monitor and track supplier performance, including delivery schedules, quality of goods and services, and contract compliance. 7. Evaluate supplier proposals, analyze bids, and recommend the most suitable vendors based on cost, quality, and reliability. 8. Manage supplier relationships and conduct regular performance reviews to drive continuous improvement. 9. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize procurement processes and reduce expenses. 10. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. 11. Coordinate with the logistics and warehouse teams to manage inventory levels and ensure timely availability of materials. 12. Resolve any procurement-related issues or disputes in a timely and efficient manner. 13. Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and best practices in procurement and supply chain management. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Additional certifications in procurement or supply chain management are a plus. 2. Proven experience as a Procurement Engineer or similar role in the contracting field. 3. Strong knowledge of procurement principles, processes, and best practices. 4. Familiarity with construction materials, equipment, and services commonly used in the contracting industry. 5. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers. 6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. 7. Proficiency in procurement software and tools. 8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously. 9. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 10. Knowledge of contract management and legal aspects related to procurement. 11. Familiarity with sourcing strategies, vendor evaluation, and supplier performance management. 12. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. 13. Strong ethics and integrity in dealing with suppliers and maintaining confidentiality.
