• Source and obtain quotes from suppliers for construction materials and equipment.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to obtain the best possible deals.
• Place purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
• Coordinate with vendors and logistics teams to schedule deliveries and manage inventory levels.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory using procurement software or systems.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and cost-efficiency.
• Resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing discrepancies with suppliers promptly.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand material requirements and project timelines.
• Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations for construction materials.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and procurement regulations.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Purchase Officer or in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.(Home country or UAE with 1-2 year experienced)
• Solid understanding of construction materials and their specifications.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, B-Tech in Civil Engineering
• Certification in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
