Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Department Management: Oversee and supervise the day-to-day operations of the purchasing department, ensuring efficient and cost-effective purchasing practices.
• Procurement Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive plans for the procurement of equipment, services, and supplies based on the company's strategic objectives and operational needs.
• Policy Enforcement: Ensure that all procurement activities align with the company's established policies and procedures, adhering to both internal and external compliance standards.
• Supplier Management: Maintain and strengthen relationships with current suppliers, negotiate favorable terms, and manage contracts to ensure the best quality, price, and delivery schedules.
• Product & Service Evaluation: Review, compare, and analyze product offerings and services from various suppliers, ensuring that quality and cost standards are met before approval.
• Inventory & Record Management: Oversee inventory levels, track product pricing, and maintain up-to-date purchase records to ensure accuracy in reporting and inventory control.
• Supplier Information Management: Continuously update supplier profiles, ensuring that key information such as qualifications, delivery timelines, and product ranges are current and relevant.
• Supplier Research: Conduct market research and evaluate prospective suppliers, aiming to identify opportunities for cost savings, innovation, and improved supply chain efficiencies.
• Reporting & Budgeting: Prepare detailed budgets, cost analyses, and procurement reports, providing senior management with insights on spending trends, cost optimization, and vendor performance.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Educational Background: A degree in Accounting, Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a procurement role or a similar position, with a proven track record in purchasing, supplier negotiations, and inventory management.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and purchasing software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Communication & Negotiation Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and stakeholders at all levels.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical abilities to assess vendor performance, monitor market trends, and ensure strategic procurement decisions.
• Leadership & Supervision: Previous experience in supervising or managing a team, demonstrating strong leadership and people management skills.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all procurement-related tasks.
