Job Description

:

As a Procurement Officer, you will play a key role in sourcing and purchasing the materials, services, and supplies necessary for our construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that the company maintains an efficient supply chain, secures the best pricing and quality, and adheres to procurement budgets and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and issue Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) for procurement of materials, services, and equipment, ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.

Material Sourcing & Purchasing: Identify and source high-quality construction materials, equipment, and services required for projects.

Supplier Negotiations: Negotiate with suppliers for competitive pricing, timely delivery, and favorable contract terms.

Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, track materials usage, and place orders to ensure continuous supply.

Cost Control: Maintain and manage procurement budgets, monitor project costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. Monitor supplier performance to ensure consistent product quality and service.

Contract Management: Draft and review procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with company standards and legal requirements.

Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other teams to ensure procurement needs are met according to project timelines.

Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of purchases, deliveries, and inventory. Provide regular reports on procurement activities to senior management.

Qualifications:

Experience: 2-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the construction industry.

Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite.

Knowledge: Familiarity with construction materials, equipment, and suppliers. Knowledge of construction industry standards and regulations is a plus.
