1. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.1 Assist Procurement Officer for preparing formal bid documents for items and services.
1.2 Informs other staffs and vendors regarding procedural requirements related with ordering and purchasing procedure.
1.3 Maintain purchasing documents, files, and records related with Requests for Proposal in vendor files.
1.4 Performs general and program specific clerical functions related with answering the telephones, distributing purchase orders, Scheduling, copying, faxing, etc.; For the purpose of supporting departmental activities.
1.5 Process requisitions into approved purchase orders for the purpose of updating and distributing information.
1.6 Review documents and data related with incoming requisitions, past purchases, reconciliations, inventories, for the purpose of Ensuring completeness and accuracy of purchasing process.
1.7 Other duties as assigned by the Procurement Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Good communication skill in English (Written & Spoken)
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• A self-motivated individual with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.
PREFERRED
• Diploma in Electrical, Marine or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in purchasing in marine industry or with relevant technical Industry preferred.
Resourceful with a good network of suppliers with good negotiations skills.
Working knowledge in ERP is an added advantage.
