Job Description

Our client, a leading name in manufacturing fiber reinforced rebar is seeking to hire a Procurement & Logistics Manger for their unit in Fujairah.Overview:As a Procurement & Logistic Manager, the role is to manage the entire process in the planning of commodities procurement and supply chain activities, inventory control, logistics and distribution, customs clearance, ensuring availability of Right Quality Materials at Optimal Cost, Reducing Inventory Turn Around time, and ensuring Inventory Control in the company, developing new vendors, alternate sourcing to reduce cost.Job Responsibilities
  • Establish an effective procurement process by developing a strategic plan & define the priorities to ensure material availability (within Cost, Quality, timelines)
  • Identify and implement best industry practices in vendor development, procurement, and inventory management.
  • Coordinate with Plant and Sales Dept on a \'real time\' basis to update supply chain plan and ensure the materials management is aligned to production and dispatch plans.
  • Develop the procurement budget plan as well as the cost reduction plan in line with the targets/ growth objectives.
  • Engage with other departments /stakeholders i.e. technical & QC lab departments for identification & management of vendors for specific requirements.
  • Identify new vendors and develop vendor base to ensure flexibility and reduce dependency.
  • Lead the Vendor negotiation efforts to ensure that procurement is as per defined norms, reduces cost of materials/services and improves quality.
  • Define the performance evaluation criterion for vendors, conduct regular vendor evaluation to renegotiate contracts or discontinue vendors.
  • Develop & review norms for Inventory Control, Review Actual Inventory Levels and Analyze and reduce Inventory Turnaround Cycle
  • Define and establish internal systems and procedures to ensure functional tasks are carried out in the most efficient, cost effective and timely manner in order to achieve objectives covering lead time, handling costs and quality of work.
  • Management of the effective procurement process, such as PR, PO, Tender/Bid, Contract process
  • Manage the Supply Chain and Warehouse/Logistics (including establishing work schedules / process flows, monitoring of department resource growth & budget and ensures proper delegation of task and accountabilities.)
Qualification
  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Procurement, Vendor Development, Supply Chain Management /logistics or equivalent.
Skills & experiences
  • Proven experience of Vendor Management - Identification, development and management, & Supply Chain Management.
  • Track record of bringing in procurement savings on a consistent and sustainable basis, in line with business objectives
  • Strong analytical and data-based decision-making capabilities supported with strong commercial acumen.
  • Strong negotiation skills and influencing and relationship skills.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory & knowledge of Arabic will be an advantage.
  • A knowledge of the Middle East market will be an advantage.
Salary: Upto AED 25000Working Hours: 9am to 6pm / 5 days a weekJob Location: Fujairah
