Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Procurement Agent with a robust background in the furniture and home appliances industry. This role demands a strategic thinker with a proven ability to streamline procurement operations, optimize costs, and ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet our organization's standards.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management

Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers with a strong track record in the furniture and home appliances sector.

Build and sustain long-term, value-driven relationships with vendors and manufacturers to ensure consistent product quality and delivery.

Conduct comprehensive supplier assessments, focusing on cost, quality, delivery reliability, and ethical practices.

Procurement Leadership

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives to maximize efficiency and cost savings.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, sales, and logistics, to ensure procurement aligns with organizational needs.

Manage high-value contracts, ensuring compliance with legal, financial, and operational requirements.

Negotiation and Cost Optimization

Lead high-stakes negotiations with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and long-term contracts.

Identify opportunities for cost reduction and implement innovative solutions without compromising quality.

Monitor market trends, currency fluctuations, and commodity pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.

Operational Excellence

Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including purchase orders, shipment tracking, and supplier payments.

Ensure timely delivery of goods, resolving any delays or discrepancies with urgency and efficiency.

Optimize inventory management by forecasting demand and minimizing excess stock or shortages.

Compliance and Reporting

Ensure adherence to procurement policies, ethical standards, and legal regulations.

Maintain meticulous records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier communications.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related fields.

Experience:

At least 5-7 years of progressive experience in procurement, with a focus on furniture and home appliances.

Proven track record of managing multi-million-dollar procurement portfolios.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in procurement systems and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).

Advanced knowledge of supply chain optimization and contract management.

Core Competencies:

Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and deliver in fast-paced environments.

Language Skills: Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
