Job Overview

Elaborate, define, size and validate - within a process team - the various items, units and technical deliverables to be implemented in the Project.

Responsibilities

• Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and process datasheets for advanced firefighting equipment.
• Perform technical calculations for fluid and gas line sizing.
• Conduct engineering studies and design, specify process equipment, and review and analyse vendor data to meet project requirements. Serve as a technical specialist to develop and implement advanced engineering concepts.
• Select piping materials and valves with a strong understanding of instrumentation hookups.
• Draw and optimize well-drafted, professional P&IDs.
• Provide technical support to the Business Development team and assist in proposal preparation.
• Define project scope of work and establish design criteria.
• Ensure technical and quality compliance of the scope of work with relevant standards and procedures, aligning with project objectives.
• Define the scope of work and prepare estimates and schedules for the process engineering portion of a project.
• Experience in participating in FMECA, HAZOP and HAZID workshops

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Extensive experience in the petrochemical, refining, and oil and gas sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of process engineering guidelines and standards.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Expertise in advanced process design techniques, analyses, practices, and procedures for all aspects of process engineering work.
• Familiarity with commonly used process engineering standards and codes, including but not limited to API and GPS, as well as commonly used process engineering software.
• Comprehensive understanding of local and international codes, such as the UAE Fire Code, NFPA, IP, etc.
• Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced skills in Excel and Word and working knowledge of Access.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
