:Job Title: PROCESS ENGINEER This role suits a "Process Engineer" with a Wastewater / Water Treatment background, a Chemical Engineering graduate. **Process Design and Optimization: ** - Develop and design treatment processes and systems for water and wastewater treatment plants, considering factors such as flow rates, contaminant levels, water quality standards, and regulatory requirements. - Create process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and equipment layouts to illustrate the treatment process and equipment arrangement. **Technical Analysis: ** - Perform technical calculations, and determine the most efficient and effective treatment methods for removing contaminants such as solids, organic matter, chemicals, and pathogens from water and wastewater streams. - Conduct hydraulic and mass balance calculations to ensure the proper functioning of treatment units and the overall system. **Equipment Selection and Specification: ** - Select appropriate equipment, such as pumps, valves, reactors, filters, membranes, and chemical dosing systems, based on their compatibility with the treatment process and desired outcomes.- Prepare equipment specifications, datasheets, and procurement documents for purchasing and installation.5. **Process Troubleshooting: ** - Identify and address operational issues and inefficiencies within water and wastewater treatment processes, proposing solutions to optimize system performance. - Collaborate with operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve any process-related challenges that arise during the construction or operation phases.6. **Regulatory Compliance and Environmental Impact: ** - Ensure that the designed treatment processes meet local, state, and federal regulations and environmental standards for water quality and discharge limits.7. **Project Coordination: ** - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers, to integrate process design into the overall project. -Ensure that the 3D models / other drafting details in drawings are up to the essential quality & specification to be adhered to.- Participate in design reviews, Hazop study, project meetings, and communicate progress and updates to project stakeholders.8. **Cost Analysis and Budgeting: ** - Estimate costs associated with the design, procurement, installation, and operation of treatment processes and equipment. - Work within project budgets and propose cost-effective solutions without compromising treatment efficiency.9. **Documentation and Reporting: ** - Maintain detailed documentation of process design, calculations, simulations, and technical specifications. - Prepare reports and presentations to communicate design concepts, results, and recommendations to clients/management,10. **Continuous Learning and Innovation: ** - Stay up-to-date with advancements in water and wastewater treatment technologies, regulations, and industry best practices. - Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in treatment processes and suggest new technologies or methods to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
