Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Personal Nurse to provide high-quality, personalized care to an elderly male client. This role involves managing the day-to-day healthcare needs of the client, ensuring their comfort, safety, and overall wellbeing. The nurse will offer both medical care and emotional support, working closely with the family to enhance the client's quality of life. Experience in geriatrics or home healthcare is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Personal Care:

Assist the elderly client with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance to maintain dignity and independence.

Health Monitoring:

Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) and manage chronic conditions, such as diabetes or hypertension. Report any changes in health status to the family or physician.

Medication Management:

Administer prescribed medications on time, monitor side effects, and assist in medication reminders for proper adherence.

Treatment Assistance:

Provide wound care, manage feeding tubes, assist with physical therapy exercises, and other medical treatments as prescribed by the doctor.

Companionship and Emotional Support:

Offer companionship, mental stimulation, and emotional support to enhance the elderly client's emotional well-being.

Dietary Assistance:

Ensure the elderly client receives proper nutrition, assist with meal planning, and monitor any special dietary needs.

Safety and Mobility:

Ensure a safe environment by assisting with movement, preventing falls, and addressing any safety hazards in the home.

Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of care, medications, activities, and health progress. Share relevant updates with family members or medical professionals as needed.

Coordination with Healthcare Team:

Collaborate with other healthcare providers, such as physicians, therapists, and specialists, to ensure the elderly client's needs are fully addressed.
