Job Description

As a Printing Operator for our plastic products division, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining printing equipment to produce high-quality printed designs on various plastic products such as carry bags, laundry bags, shopping bags, etc. Your role will involve setting up printing jobs, monitoring print quality, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring efficient production processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in printing operations, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering superior print results.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Setup and Operation:

• Set up and calibrate printing equipment according to job specifications, including adjusting ink levels, print settings, and registration.
• Operate printing machinery, such as flexographic or screen printing presses, to apply designs onto plastic products with precision.
• Monitor printing processes to ensure consistent print quality and make adjustments as necessary to maintain desired results.

Quality Control:

• Inspect printed products for defects, such as misregistration, color variations, or imperfections in print clarity.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure that printed designs meet customer requirements and brand standards.
• Troubleshoot issues related to print quality or equipment malfunctions and take corrective actions to resolve them promptly.

Material Handling and Preparation:

• Prepare printing substrates, such as plastic films or sheets, for printing by ensuring proper cleaning, treatment, or priming as needed.
• Load printing materials onto the machinery and secure them in place to facilitate smooth printing operations.
• Coordinate with the materials procurement team to ensure timely availability of printing supplies and consumables.

Color Matching Capability:

• Utilize color management tools and techniques to ensure accurate color reproduction during the printing process.
• Mix ink formulations according to specified color requirements, taking into account factors such as substrate type and printing method.
• Conduct color tests and adjustments to achieve precise color matching, working closely with design teams and clients to meet their color expectations.

Maintenance and Repair:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on printing equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and replacement of worn parts.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs or adjustments to minimize downtime.
• Schedule and coordinate with maintenance technicians for more extensive repairs or upgrades as required.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
• Follow proper handling procedures for printing chemicals, inks, and solvents to minimize risks of exposure or accidents.
• Stay informed about regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to printing operations and environmental compliance.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Printing Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably with experience in printing on plastic products.
• Proficiency in operating printing machinery such as flexographic or screen printing presses, including knowledge of setup, calibration, and troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain print quality standards throughout production runs.
• Mechanical aptitude for performing routine maintenance tasks and troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work in shifts and adapt to changing production schedules as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Vocational training or certification in printing technology or a related field.
• Familiarity with digital imaging techniques and color matching, proof reading and understanding.
• Knowledge of different printing techniques and their applications in the production of plastic products.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,800.00 per month
