Lead and oversee the systems engineering process for projects, including requirements analysis, system architecture design, integration, verification, and validation.
Manage system requirements throughout the product lifecycle, including elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, and verification, ensuring alignment with customer needs and regulatory standards.
Define system architectures and interfaces for aerospace systems, including avionics systems, flight control systems, propulsion systems, and mission systems, ensuring compatibility, scalability, and modularity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, software engineers, and project managers, to integrate system components and subsystems into cohesive aerospace systems.
Identify and mitigate technical and programmatic risks associated with systems, conducting risk assessments, developing risk mitigation plans, and implementing proactive measures to ensure project success.
Develop and execute verification and validation plans and procedures for systems, including simulation, modeling, analysis, ground testing, and flight testing, to ensure compliance with performance and safety requirements
Participate in System/Subsystem design, development, integration, and testing review
Implement corrective actions, provide evidence and assess improvement
Ensure compliance with aerospace regulations, standards, and certification requirements governing the design, development, and certification of systems
Education & Experience:
Bachelor\'s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. (Master\'s degree or Ph.D. preferred.)
Minimum of 8 years\' experience in systems engineering, with a focus on aerospace systems development, integration, and certification.
In-depth knowledge of systems engineering principles, processes, and best practices, including requirements management, system architecture design, and verification and validation
Experience with systems and subsystems, such as avionics systems, flight control systems, propulsion systems, and mission systems, and familiarity with relevant aerospace technologies and components.
Proficiency in systems engineering tools and methodologies, such as requirements management tools, modeling and simulation tools
