• 10+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

We are seeking a Specialist Solutions Architect with extensive expertise in Media & Entertainment solution areas, including Content Production, Media Supply Chain & Archive, Broadcast Modernisation (connectivity, playout, live production), Direct-to-Consumer Streaming, and Monetisation. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the technical architectures that drive content creation, broadcasting, and distribution. Leveraging your experience in these systems, you will provide strategic technical guidance to customers and partners, ensuring seamless deployment, operation, and innovation on AWS.
As a Solutions Architect, you will own the technical relationship with AWS Media & Entertainment customers, providing expert guidance on security, cost optimisation, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency. By working backwards from their business needs, you'll offer strategic advice to help them unlock business value through technology. This role involves close collaboration with business development, account management, professional services, support, product teams, and the AWS partner ecosystem.
You'll have the opportunity to apply your creativity, connecting innovative technologies to practical solutions while showcasing the possibilities AWS can deliver in a dynamic and ever-changing market.
The ideal candidate will be based in Dubai, possess extensive experience in the Media & Entertainment industry, and demonstrate a proven ability to work effectively with C-level executives. They should also excel in influencing decisions and showcasing strong thought leadership skills.
Key job responsibilities
• Collaborate with the broader Industry Specialist team to shape the strategic plan and drive cloud adoption for GameTech customers.
• Design and deliver innovative technical solutions to engage and inspire customers and partners.
• Build technical credibility and trust during sales cycles, engaging directly with CTOs, CIOs, Chief Architects, and Senior Developers across the Gaming industry.
• Work with AWS service teams and partners to deploy, pilot, and scale game-focused solutions, collaborating with sales enablement, regional business development, and account teams.
• Lead customer briefings, represent AWS Game Tech at industry events, and advance thought leadership in gaming technology solutions.
• Educate customers on the benefits of AWS, engaging in in-depth architectural discussions to ensure their solutions are optimised for successful cloud deployment.
• Deliver training sessions, both one-to-one and group formats, to share knowledge with customers exploring or already using AWS.
• Capture and share best practices within the AWS Solutions Architect community to foster continuous learning and improvement.

Solutions Architects sit at the intersection of business and technology, working with organisations at every stage of their cloud journey. You'll play a key role in developing relationships, designing technical solutions, sharing best practices, and presenting innovative ideas that help shape the future of the industry.
• Knowledge of distributed systems design and implementation or equivalent
• Knowledge of large scale automation and workflow management or equivalent
• Knowledge of presentations and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and developers
• Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud
