Ensures team member adherence to generally accepted engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. Supports the standardization of equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates. Contributes to the understanding of technical knowledge, legal requirements, and customer specifications whenever viable and lawful. Uses local/global standards to support technical excellence. Supports checking, peer reviews, and incorporation of comments and findings. Ensures recognised engineering practices applicable to HVAC design engineering are adopted within the discipline. Review designs, sketches and reports with supporting calculations for projects, and supply drafting staff with information to assist in the production of detailed drawings, the development of quantities, materials lists and cost estimates as required. Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles, load calculations, equipment selection, energy modeling, and relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, HAP, Duct and Pipe Design). Review detailed HVAC design documents, calculations, and specifications that adhere to regulatory standards and client requirements. Review and verify design deliverables produced by junior engineers to ensure accuracy and compliance. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable practices, and propose innovative solutions to enhance HVAC system performance and efficiency. Drive the implementation of best practices and lessons learned to improve the overall quality of HVAC design processes. Lead the HVAC design efforts for complex projects, providing guidance on design strategies, system selection, and innovative solutions. Apply your advanced technical knowledge to perform detailed calculations, simulations, and analysis for HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance, energy efficiency, and indoor comfort. Champion the integration of cutting-edge HVAC technologies and sustainable practices into project designs. Engage with clients to understand their unique HVAC needs, present design proposals, and address technical inquiries with clarity and professionalism. Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering strong client relationships Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 15+ years of progressive experience in HVAC design and engineering, with a proven track record of leading complex projects in which 10+ years' experience in detailed design of HVAC system for Oil & Gas Sector.
