Principal Highway Design Engineer**

**Qatar**

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Principal Highway Design Engineer** to join our team! In this role you will get to function as Discipline project Supervising Engineer on medium to large projects, assuming responsibility for the work of the project team.

**What You'll Be Doing:**

+ Act as the Discipline Project Supervising Engineer, leading and managing medium to large highway design projects.

+ Oversee the design and development of highway systems, ensuring adherence to engineering standards, regulations, and best practices.

+ Plan, direct, and supervise the work of a major engineering task or project requiring large scale expenditure of manpower and financial investment.

+ Perform complex engineering road and highway tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately;

+ Provides technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses.

+ Ensures compliance of design with all applicable standards and regulations, providing the seal and signature of the professional engineer when required by statute or contract.

+ Develops standard design procedures; prepares design briefs and may conduct on-site training of personnel.

+ Maintains affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies.

+ Helps determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule. May assist Section Supervisors with other administrative and technical duties.

+ Recommends and prepares technical papers.

**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and 10 years of progressive experience in highway design, with a proven track record of successfully managing medium to large transportation related projects.

+ Chartered Engineer

+ Proficiency in utilizing Civil 3D / AutoCAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required.

+ Excellent communication/interpersonal skills notably with various levels of the organization and externally.

+ MME-UPDA Grade A.
