Here, youll be supported in progressing - whatever your ambitions.Purpose StatementThe Principal, Global Compliance Audit and Monitoring, position reports directly to the Associate Director, Global Compliance Audit & Monitoring and is responsible for supporting program/project planning, execution, implementation, and reporting across a variety of Global Compliance programs. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for overseeing, maintaining and implementing components of a comprehensive compliance auditing and monitoring program. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills and have experience in supporting global projects and monitoring / auditing risks related to regulations applicable to the medical device industry (e.g., the anti-kickback statute, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, etc.).Key Responsibilities
Create and execute project plans for implementation of compliance program initiatives.
Scope plan and execute projects that support the development or enhancement of Global Compliance program initiatives that may cross multiple regions, business units, and/or functions with minimal supervision.
Obtain an understanding of the business areas, regions and/or functions relevant to the compliance program or project initiative and the associated compliance risks.
Work closely with the Associate Director and relevant Compliance Management to define and document project goals, milestones, and deliverables.
Recruit, coach and/or directly manage other staff on various aspects of the project lifecycle.
Create project plans, execute all aspects of the work consistent with the project plan and oversee, coach and direct others completion of work consistent with the project plan.
Oversee, maintain, and execute components of a comprehensive compliance auditing and monitoring program, including auditing and monitoring associated with the Code of Conduct, risks related to regulations applicable to the medical device industry (e.g. the anti-kickback statute, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, etc.) and other Global Compliance standards and procedures.
Contribute and/or lead presentation of project/program status, analysis results and/or recommendations to Management and internal counterparts across all levels of the organization, as needed.
Utilize critical thinking, analysis, and expert knowledge to manage project risks, address complex problems, and propose effective solutions through thorough research and information gathering.
Identify and suggest ways to improve department processes and operations by analyzing current practices, corporate strategy, and industry standards.
Support development of operating policies and procedures that may have a company-wide effect on compliance program-related processes and protocols.
Develop and/or identify new work processes, tools or resources that will have broad applicability throughout the company; contribute ideas for improving work processes and achieving organizational goals.
Prepare and deliver status reports for Senior Management by summarizing program or project status, impact, progress on goals, and recommending courses of action, as appropriate.
Provide direction and coaching to junior employees by coaching, identifying training needs, identifying and suggesting progressively challenging assignments, and assisting in career development planning. J
Assist in establishing and maintaining metrics and reporting to reflect effectiveness of Global Compliance programs.
Engage in professional development to maintain a strong knowledge of Boston Scientifics compliance risks and associated controls.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree.
Solid understanding of business acumen and finance fundamentals; CPA, MBA, or CIA preferred.
6-8 years of experience in the compliance, risk, audit, or control function, preferably in the Life Sciences industry.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop project plans and approaches for global efforts and the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
Authentic personal presence, communication skills, diplomacy, and credibility necessary to effectively influence BSC employees.
Strong writing skills and attention to detail.
Experience leading and developing staff.
Ability to think strategically and see the big picture for meaningful analysis, recommendations, and information delivery to Senior Management.
Agile mindset and flexibility to meet changing needs and requirements for audit and monitoring.
Exhibits passion for compliance and the business.
Demonstrated strong commitment to compliance, ethics, and accountability.
Ability to travel 20% on a global basis.
Optional: Proficiency in Arabic is preferred.
