Title:Principal Generalist, HR
PRINCIPAL HUMAN RESOUCES GENERALIST Location: UAE Department: Human Resources Reports to: Human Resources Manager SUMMARY We are looking for a Principal HR Generalist to join the HR Team supporting KBR's growing UAE operations. This is a hands-on role and will be responsible for full spectrum of human resource activities including employee relations, compensation, payroll and benefits, and training and development. Specific Oil & Gas industry experience is required to ensure that there is a detailed understanding of the type of skills we are trying to attract and retain.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Recruitment & Selection Managing of recruitment process to ensure effectiveness and fastest possible turn around of candidates while being compliant with KBR's internal policies and processes Liaise with management to ensure there is an ongoing clear understanding of recruitment requirements and targets Preparing and maintaining job documentation, job evaluation, and company salary structure systems Writing ads and posting open positions Drafting and initiating offers to successful candidates Policies & Procedures Responsible for the review and implementation of a full range HR policies and procedure with particular focus on attracting, retention and development of staff Will be responsible for ensuring policies and procedures are industry best practice and are compliant with internal KBR policy as well as working with legal to ensure legal compliance Provide management and employee's advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation. Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries Ensure HR and the business are compliant with global and local HR policy Compensation & Benefits Required to work with Finance department to ensure effective processing of payroll on a monthly basis Responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, e.g. Provident Fund, gratuity etc Responsible for ensuring compliance with KBR's internal compensation policy Administration of Group Insurance Schemes e.g Health cover, Life Insurance and Personal Accident Training and Development Along with management identify training needs and assist with training plans for staff Where necessary identify outside training providers Work with KBR's internal T&D departments around the globe to identify internal training courses and work with trainers and management to arrange and role out training as required Along with the HR Generalist conduct new employee orientation Responsible for rolling out of KBR global initiatives and communications KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS A Bachelor Degree and a minimum of 12-15 years generalist HR experience with at least 7-8 years at a Senior/Principal HR Generalist level. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to liaise with all levels of the organization including Senior Management Oil & Gas industry experience; however specific Technology experience would be a significant advantage Must be hands on and pro-active in identifying and addressing issues Must be able to demonstrate experience in implementing policies and procedures, in particular those relating to attraction and retention of staff Experience in SAP and applicant tracking systems is an advantage Knowledge of federal and state employment and benefit laws. Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations.
