Principal Frontend Engineer

Role description and responsibilities

• Leading the frontend development of our Next.js-based fintech platform.
• Collaborating with Product Managers, Backend Developers, and Designers to deliver high-quality functionalities.
• Owning the end-to-end delivery of key features, ensuring performance and reliability.
• Leading by example in writing clean, maintainable code.
• Driving innovation and improvements in our development practices.
• Contributing to a culture of continuous learning.

This role is unique due to its blend of technical leadership and hands-on development. You'll be at the forefront of building a cutting-edge fintech platform, facing unique challenges and opportunities to innovate in the finance sector. The impact and contributions in this role are pivotal to our company's success.

Requirements

• Expertise in Next.js and modern JavaScript frameworks (React).
• Excellent communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and a customer-focused approach
• Proven track record of leading and delivering complex software projects in distributed teams of more than 15 people.
• Experience with cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and test-driven development.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of other backend technologies (e.g. Java).
• Experience with gRPC and Protocol Buffers
• WealthTech, Banking or Fintech experience
