As we continue to grow and take on new challenges, we are seeking a talented Flight Control Engineer to join our team.Desired Experience and Qualifications.While the following qualifications are desirable, applicants do not need to possess all of them.
4+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing and deploying GNC algorithms on large-scale aerial platforms.
Proven ability to identify, model and simulate complex aerial systems.
Strong background in control analysis, design.
Proficiency in programming languages and tools such as Matlab/Simulink, C, C++ and python.
Proven ability to identify, model and simulate complex aerial systems.
Familiarity with common system engineering process, specifically ARP4754.
Preparation and support of flight test activities, analysis of flight test results.
Experience with Software in the loop (SILS) and Hardware in the loop (HILS) software validation.
Strong desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Target-oriented, work style with strong analytic problem-solving skills required.
Bonus points
Previous experience modelling, analysing and controlling rotary-wing aircrafts.
Experience implementing GNC Software utilizing Model-Based Design best practices.
Familiar with common flight control stability and performance requirement sources (Mill-STD-1797, ADS-33).
Familiarity with aircraft software and hardware certification process (DO-178C & DO-254,).
Experience with flight testing of highly control system dependent configurations of rotary-wing and fix-wing unmanned systems.
An Ultralight or PPL pilot license.
