This role involves setting the technical direction, overseeing complex projects, and ensuring the alignment of our technology strategy with business goals. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a strategic mindset. Responsibilities: Strategic Planning: Develop and implement the overall technical strategy in alignment with the company's goals. Technical Direction: Provide architectural blueprints and technical leadership to our IT and engineering teams. Innovation: Identify, evaluate, and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance our technology stack and drive innovation. System Architecture: Design scalable, secure, and high-performance system architectures for complex software applications. Standards and Best Practices: Establish and enforce architectural standards, best practices, and governance for system design and development. Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for system architectures, processes, and standards. Project Management: Oversee multiple projects, ensuring they meet technical requirements, timelines, and budget constraints. Code Review: Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure the quality and maintainability of codebases. Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Team Leadership: Mentor and guide engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Skill Development: Identify skill gaps and training needs within the team, and organize appropriate learning and development initiatives. Requirements: Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: At least 5-7 years of experience in software engineering, with significant experience in a senior engineering or architectural role. System Design: Strong knowledge of system architecture, design patterns, and best practices. Cloud Services: Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native architectures. DevOps Practices: Proficiency in DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform). Security: In-depth understanding of security best practices and data protection measures. Leadership: Proven leadership abilities and experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges. Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and align technical decisions with business objectives. Preferred Qualifications Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or similar. Advanced Knowledge: Advanced understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies.
