Pricing Executive - Freight Forwarding

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Clear understanding of multiple modes and services within the transportation/logistics industry.
• Prior experience in domestic and/or international freight forwarding pricing/quoting.
• Experience in negotiating rates with all transportation modes.
• Friendly and professional customer service skills, including the ability to recognize the importance of good vendor relations.
• Strategic understanding, Teamwork, Analytical, Interpersonal Communication, Time Management, Organizing, FRESA software, MS office.
• In addition to English, ability to converse in one of these languages is preferred - Hindi or Arabic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct negotiation with vendors to secure the best rates/service, including reaching out for spot and promo rates.
• Develop pricing strategies and monitor execution to meet the needs of our clients.
• Prepare quotes for diverse customer. Monitor and issue quotes in accordance with each customer deadline.
• Developing a strong relationship with customers through consistent communication, asking for more opportunities, and sharing industry knowledge.
• Active communication with inside and outside sales and operations to ensure proper routings, tariffs and margins are used and to provide and receive feedback.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors, carriers, agents, and customers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Logistics, Operations Management or business related.
• Pricing Executive in UAE or GCC with Shipping/Freight Forwarding Company: 3-5 years (preferred)
• Should have knowledge and experience in MS Office. Preferably with Logistics Management software experience.
