As Pricing Controller, you will analyse, negotiate and obtain competitive IT airfares from all specified points of sale, within a region or country, required for commercially competitive and profitable package pricing of Emirates Holidays products. You will provide support to the Commercial Manager to coordinate all aspects of pricing as required by Emirates Holidays.In this role, you will:
Provide solutions on all aspects of IT airfares and package pricing to all points of sale, units of the business and EK Revenue Optimisation, as commercially or operationally required.
Constantly monitor changes in market airfare and package pricing, from all specified points of sale, including the analysis of competitor package pricing and airfares.
Negotiate, obtain and propose recommendations to Commercial Manager to make appropriate adjustments to existing airfares and package pricing levels, ensuring EKH remains competitive, profitable and that yields are not compromised.
Structure an approach within the Pricing unit to ensure easy accessibility of information is made available to all EKH offices via EKH distribution channels. Maintain a support hub on all aspects of IT airfares and package pricing to all parts of the business.
Monitor seat inventory based on seat utilisation and in constant communication and consultation with relevant EK Revenue Optimisation Teams to ensure that EKH is able to maximise on commercial leisure demand and revenue opportunities, with minimum disruptions to sales and operations.
Establish relationships within relevant EK Revenue Optimisation Teams, to influence, negotiate and obtain IT airfares (online, interline and add-ons) and seats in all classes and sub-classes, from specified points of sale.
Identify low demand routes & destinations and negotiate tactical IT fares jointly with relevant EK Revenue Optimisation Teams to provide route support.
Make suggestions to Product teams to obtain competitive land offers to package and provide all relevant points of sale with pre-packaged tactical offers to increase incremental revenue opportunities and make them available via all EKH distribution channels.
Analyse all air fare and pricing related tasks, pro-actively and offer suggestions to increase efficiencies and to meet commercial, operational and production needs as the volume of air fares and points of sales increase. Co-ordinate with relevant units to implement and integrate these solutions, to the benefit of EKH.
Maintain strong communication lines with EKH Sales Managers and Units to ensure that air fare or pricing related market feedback is obtained, validated, and updated in the airfare system.
Provide feedback to Commercial Manager on any commercial IT fare or package pricing related disadvantages and communicate package pricing advantages for sales and revenue maximisation.
Provide assistance and guidance when required, to staff in other units on pricing related issues with minimum delay.
To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:
5+ yearsxe2x80x99 experience in Commercial/Sales/Pricing
Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in commercial disciplines or equivalent with an emphasis on economics, transportation, business management and related studies. Experience in the airline, travel or tour operations industry with in-depth knowledge of airfares and related terms and conditions.
A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory and air fare negotiation capacity.
Must have a sound knowledge of airfares with relevant CRS experience.
Will be a high quality achiever to creatively obtain EKH airfares with an ability to make quick decisions during negotiations.
A high level of technology literacy is an advantage.
Must posses an excellent understanding of the tourism industry combined with superior written and oral skills in English.
Strong analytical, organising and negotiation skills to consistently meet production and commercial deadlines.
