Job Req Number: 80090 Time Type: Full Time As Pricing Specialist, you will communicate and establish excellent relationships with carriers, overseas agents, and co-workers to make certain the best possible competitive rates, you will lead a determined negotiation process with the current and potential clients, in the best interest of DSV. Responsibilities: Understand customer needs to strategy the costing and or pricing. Negotiate cost-effective rates with service providers to ensure maximum profitability. Coordinates with airlines, shippers, local and overseas DSV offices for the quoting process of shipments. Maintaining continuous communication with vendors, shippers, carriers and DSV overseas offices throughout the quotation process and choosing proper routing appropriate to the customer's needs. Immediately report problems, operation disputes or discrepancies to supervisor, manager, or department head. Follow up to ensure the freight is cleared and delivered to customer on time, update systems accordingly Update the tracking sheet with freight status and send to the customer on daily basis. Negotiate and coordinate spot rates and/or quotations for shipments/services within our client's database. Display a thorough understanding of industry-related terminology and processes. Strategize ways of increasing profits margins, while keeping cost at a minimum. Assist the sales team with business development and securing new business initiatives. Talk to the management on pricing performance and work closely with the operations and accounting team. Data entry in Cargo Wise 1 system as required. Any other related duties/projects assigned by the supervisor from time to time to meet the business exigencies.
Educational Qualifications & Certifications:
Bachelor's degree 8 years of Freight operations - of which at least 4 years in a pricing role.
Competencies Strong people skills, excellent spoken, and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and problem-solving skills. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Thorough knowledge of freight and custom-related laws and regulations. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
