Role Description:
As a Pre-Sales Engineer, you will responsible for providing technical expertise and support during the pre-sales process. This role involves understanding customer requirements, designing tailored security solutions, and presenting proposals that align with the client's needs. The Pre-Sales Engineer works closely with the sales team to ensure the technical feasibility and competitiveness of the proposed solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage with clients to understand their security requirements, including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and other ELV systems.
Conduct site surveys to assess the environment and identify potential challenges or opportunities for system integration.
Design customized ELV security solutions, including CCTV systems, video surveillance, access control, and other related technologies.
Prepare detailed technical proposals, including system architecture, equipment specifications, and cost estimates.
Ensure solutions comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Provide technical support to the sales team during client meetings, presentations, and negotiations.
Address technical queries from clients and provide clarifications on system capabilities, integration, and functionality.
Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to stay updated on the latest technologies and products.
Prepare and deliver high-quality technical documentation, including system drawings, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and project scope documents.
Maintain a library of standard solutions, case studies, and technical references.
Work closely with the sales, project management, and engineering teams to ensure smooth handover of projects post-sales.
Participate in product training and knowledge-sharing sessions to stay updated on emerging technologies.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in the ELV and security systems domain.
Provide feedback to the product development team based on market needs and customer feedback.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field.
Experience
:
3-5 years of experience in ELV systems, CCTV, and security solutions, with a focus on pre-sales or technical consulting.
Proficiency in designing and implementing CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection systems.
Familiarity with ELV systems such as structured cabling, public address systems.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, EN, NFPA)
