Key Responsibilities :
• Lead and manage the commissioning process for construction projects in accordance with BQB and UBC standards.
• Review and approve commissioning plans, checklists, and reports for mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
• Conduct independent testing and validation of building systems to ensure they meet the design intent and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve any design or operational issues during the commissioning phase.
• Provide quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) oversight to ensure all systems function as intended.
• Prepare and submit detailed commissioning documentation, including test results, deficiencies, and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with Uniform Building Code (UBC) standards, local building codes, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct inspections, system start-up tests, and performance verification of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other building systems.
• Identify potential risks, suggest improvements, and mitigate operational or safety concerns during the commissioning phase.
• Provide training to building operators on system operation and maintenance post-handover.
Requirements :
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering (or related field).
• UBC certification is mandatory.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in commissioning, preferably in high-rise buildings or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, and control systems.
• Experience in overseeing commissioning processes as an independent agent in line with BQB standards.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and building codes.
• Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to drive projects to completion.
Preferred Qualifications :
• Experience in both mechanical and architectural commissioning is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of industry-standard commissioning software tools and reporting systems.
• Familiarity with local UAE building regulations and international standards.
