Responsibilities
- Design stable, reliable and effective databases
- Modify databases according to requests and perform tests
- Solve database usage issues and malfunctions
- Develop stored procedures and SQL queries
- Work with developers to improve applications and establish best practices
- Gather user requirements and identify new features
- Perform database updates and migrations
- Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements
- Research and suggest new database products, services, and protocols
- BS Computer Science degree with outstanding academic performance or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience developing relational databases on Linux such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Proven work experience as a Database developer In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security, and monitoring)
- Proficient in creating complex stored procedures and SQL scripts
- Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications
- An ability to understand frontend user requirements and have a problem-solving attitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
