JOB PURPOSE As a Post-Doctoral Researcher within the Nuclear Energy System Simulation and Safety (NE3S) Research Group at the Research Institute of Sciences and Engineering (RISE), you will contribute to research projects focused on Uncertainty Quantification/Sensitivity Analysis (UQ/SA) for severe accident analysis. Your role will involve assisting group members with related research tasks, ensuring the advancement of the group's objectives in nuclear energy systems safety and simulation.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES & EXPECTATIONS • Investigate novel UQ/SA and model calibration for severe accident modeling and simulation.
• Construct computer models to perform severe accident analyses and source term assessments.
• Train research assistants/graduate students.
• Publish research results and present them in conferences and meetings.
Perform other relevant duties.

REQUIRED SKILLS • Proficiency with uncertainty quantification codes.
• Have a solid background on severe accident phenomena.
• Proficiency with safety analysis codes for example RELAP, TRACE, and MELCOR, etc.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Effective interpersonal skills to work effectively within a scientifically diverse team
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS • Educational background in nuclear engineering or in related fields.
• Track record of publications in peer-reviewed international journals related to uncertainty quantification/sensitivity analysis.
• A good research backgrounds
• Ability to publish and present research results in English.
• Knowledge of coding in C, C\+\+, PYTHON and/or FORTRAN.
