The National Water and Energy Center (NWEC) is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our interdisciplinary research team as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate. The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate closely with the academic staff while demonstrating the ability to work autonomously. A multidisciplinary approach and a commitment to achieving internationally recognized scientific excellence are essential for this role. The primary responsibilities associated with this position include, but are not limited to, conducting advanced research in water resources management, with a focus on spatiotemporal analysis to identify, quantify, and monitor the impacts of climate change on coastal shorelines movement and groundwater systems. Emphasis will be placed on the application of cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and Remote Sensing (RS). The candidate will be required to support academic staff in ongoing projects, contribute to the development of research proposals, and produce high-quality scientific outputs, including technical reports, conference presentations, and peer-reviewed journal publications.Minimum QualificationA doctoral degree (PhD) in Civil Engineering, with a specialization in water resources management and hydrological modeling, is required for this position. Candidates must demonstrate advanced expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Remote Sensing (RS), and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
