One position is available for a full-time Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Department of Economics and Finance, College of Business and Economics, United Arab Emirates University. The position is funded by the Post-Doctoral Fellowship Program on Climate Actions by United Arab Emirates University. The focus of fellowship is to enhance and support the activities of the country to achieve its commitments towards the net zero initiative. The fellowship program provides seed money to recruit a highly qualified Post-Doctoral researcher, explore, test, and implement research ideas for resilient, inclusive, and sustainable solutions under the mentorship of a project PI. New and innovative contributions or methods to improve existing solutions and achieve sustainability and climate neutrality are welcomed. The position is for one year, with the possibility of an extension for another 6 months or one year depending on progress and funding availability. The successful candidate will work under the supervision and guidance of the project PI. The research progress will be monitored through regular meetings with the PI. Qualifications: - The successful candidate will hold a PhD Finance or related discipline from a reputable university with high-quality publications in Conventional and Clean Energy, Green and Sustainable Finance. - Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Stata, R, or Python) and familiarity with relevant databases (e.g., Refinitiv, Bloomberg, CRSP, Compustat). - Strong quantitative skills and experience in analyzing large datasets.
