We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated candidate to join our team as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the College of Business and Economics, UAE University. The focus of the research is in the areas of human resource development, career development, and digital competencies and skills. The Postdoctoral Researcher will play a pivotal role in the Building and Managing Talent in Advanced Digital Skills: Practical Guidance and Best Practices for Upskilling and Reskilling in the Digital/AI Age project, contributing to research, development, and implementation of Digital Skills initiatives. This research is supported by a strategic research grant from the Human Capital Research Center at UAE University. The position is for a period of 1 year, but it may be extended as needed. Principal Duties: The researcher will have significant input in the following areas: Research: Conducting research on the topic of Building and Managing Talent in the Digital/AI Age Development of research outputs: - Carrying out a literature review and developing a theoretical framework for the study. - Qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis (e.g. survey, interviews and focus groups). - Interpreting and discussing findings. - Leading the development of a comprehensive report on the research topic. - Writing of academic papers. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the international project team, including the Work Programme Leader Dr. Mohammed Al Waqfi, and European-based team members to achieve project milestones and objectives. Dissemination: Assist in disseminating project findings through various channels, including peer reviewed journals, conferences, workshops, and outreach materials. Reporting: Regularly report progress to the WPL, participate in team meetings, and ensure alignment with project goals and timelines. Supervision: Significant input in the day-to-day supervision of research assistants who might also be employed throughout the research project is expected. Salary and Conditions Post Duration: This position is available for one year and may be extended.
