We are seeking an experienced Post Contracts Manager / QS Manager to join our team in the Steel Fabrication Industry . The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of contract management, quantity surveying, and project delivery within the steel fabrication and construction sector.
Key Responsibilities:
• Post-Contract Management : Oversee the post-contract phase of steel fabrication projects, ensuring compliance with contract terms, budgets, and timelines.
• Cost Control & Financial Management : Prepare cost estimates, monitor budgets, and ensure financial controls are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
• Subcontractor Management : Manage subcontractor contracts, including evaluation, negotiations, and ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained.
• Risk Management : Identify and mitigate financial and contractual risks, resolving issues effectively and minimizing the impact on project delivery.
• Change Management : Handle variations and claims, assess their impact, and negotiate settlements.
• Contractual Compliance : Ensure all contracts and variations comply with the legal and regulatory requirements.
• Client Communication : Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular progress reports, updates, and addressing concerns.
• Team Leadership : Lead, train, and mentor junior staff and ensure effective collaboration across departments (e.g., procurement, operations, and design).
Qualifications & Skills:
• Experience : 5-10 years of experience in a similar role within the steel fabrication or construction industry.
• Education : A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Technical Knowledge : Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes, cost estimating, contract law, and risk management.
• Software Skills : Proficient in industry-standard software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, and QS tools like CostX or WinQS).
• Strong Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Leadership : Ability to manage teams, collaborate with different departments, and work with senior leadership to achieve company objectives.
• Problem-Solving : Strong analytical skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and solving issues.

• Attention to Detail : Ability to scrutinize contracts, drawings, and specifications to ensure complete accuracy.
