Job Description

Position Overview:

As a Porter, you will play an essential role in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment by assisting with various tasks, such as moving items, maintaining the cleanliness of public areas, and providing excellent customer service to guests. This is a physically demanding position that requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with transporting luggage, deliveries, and supplies throughout the premises. Ensure that public areas, including hallways, entrances, and restrooms, are clean, organized, and presentable at all times. Assist with setting up and clearing away equipment for events and meetings. Provide assistance to guests and staff in carrying out special requests, including arranging transportation or other services. Ensure that waste disposal and recycling protocols are followed. Perform basic maintenance tasks and report any maintenance issues to the appropriate departments. Assist with deliveries, ensuring items are properly stored and distributed. Help manage stock levels of supplies and restock when necessary. Support the housekeeping and other departments when required. Maintain safety and security standards within the premises.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a porter, janitor, or similar role is preferred but not required. Ability to lift heavy objects and move equipment as needed. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with guests and staff. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively. Friendly and professional demeanor. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in hospitality or customer service is a plus. Ability to handle basic maintenance or repairs is an advantage.
