Job Description

: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Port Mechanic with more than 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance and repair. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanics, particularly in port operations, and be skilled in troubleshooting and repairing engines and mechanical systems using hand tools and power tools.

Key Responsibilities

:

Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on vessels and port equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures, including engines, propulsion systems, and auxiliary equipment. Utilize hand tools and power tools to conduct repairs and ensure operational efficiency. Maintain a record of all repairs, replacements, and maintenance work performed. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Collaborate with the technical team to ensure the smooth operation of the fleet and equipment. Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules. Conduct inspections and tests to ensure equipment and machinery meet operational standards.

Requirements

:

Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a mechanic, preferably in the marine or port industry. Proficient in using hand tools and mechanical equipment for repairs. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, engines, and hydraulic systems. Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues efficiently. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle emergency repairs. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. Relevant certifications and licenses (preferred). Should have a valid UAE driving license.
