Job Description

PORT CAPTAIN

• Oversee daily operations and ensure smooth vessel movements.
• Ensure compliance with maritime safety and regulations.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
• Monitor and evaluate vessel performance metrics.
• Handle emergency situations and coordinate response efforts.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and vessel audits.
• Ensure proper vessel maintenance and maintain vessel compliance as per ADNOC regulations
• Develop and maintain relationships with Charterers
• Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping.
• Resolve operational issues and conflicts.
• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
• Experience in handling vessels chartered with ADNOC is a must
• Ability to coordinate with various Clients, Class Surveyors, Vetting Inspector, 3rd party Suppliers etc.
• Commitment to safety and environmental sustainability.
• Ability to adapt to changing conditions and requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Willingness to work irregular hours and be on-call as needed.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: AED20,000.00 - AED25,000.00 per month
