Job Title: Poke Bowl Chef (Chef de Partie)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Poke Bowl Chef at the Chef de Partie level to join our kitchen team at Poke Bay. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating delicious and visually appealing poke bowls, with strong knowledge of popular poke bowl sauces. This role involves managing supplier orders, receiving goods, and maintaining stock levels using the Syrve POS system. The successful candidate will also guide and coach a small team of kitchen helpers and work closely with the front of house supervisor and his team. We are looking for a team-oriented chef who is ready to engage in all aspects of the role, including challenging tasks, and who can contribute positively to our team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assemble a variety of poke bowls according to Poke Bay's recipes and standards.
• Create and perfect popular poke bowl sauces to enhance the flavor profiles of our dishes.
• Administer supplier orders, receive goods, and manage stock levels using the Syrve POS system.
• Ensure all ingredients are fresh, high-quality, and stored properly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations, including undertaking all necessary tasks without hesitation.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations at all times.
• Guide and coach a small team of kitchen helpers to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
• Work closely with the front of house supervisor and his team to ensure seamless service and effective communication.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing special requests and dietary needs.
• Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate them into the menu where appropriate.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Chef/Chef de Partie or in a similar role, with experience in poke bowls or Asian cuisine.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and popular poke bowl sauces.
• Proficiency in administrating supplier orders, receiving goods, and managing stock levels using the POS system. Experience with Syrve is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• High standards of cleanliness and organization.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Relevant certification is a plus.
• A positive attitude, willingness to support all team members, and a hands-on approach to all tasks, including the hard or less desirable ones.
