:Wood has been awarded a major project with ADNOC and we are looking to hire a PMC Senior Pipeline Engineer with extensive offshore upstream oil projects experience to be based at our Abu Dhabi office.Responsibilities:
Senior Pipeline Engineer with detailed engineering experience in oil and gas field.
Must have working knowledge and experience of onshore oil and gas industry codes, specifications and practices.
Working within the pipeline design team on onshore feasibility, conceptual, basic engineering, FEED, detailed design and EPC projects.
Develop the pipeline design basis.
Prepare pipeline material, coating, testing and installation specifications.
Prepare pipeline material requisition, perform technical bid evaluation / analysis and vendor data review.
Coordinating with Contractors / Engineering consults during detailed engineering and construction phases of various projects.
Provide support to Project Manager / Engineer during detailed engineering / construction phases of various projects.
Should be capable of handling more than one minor projects.
Perform following pipelines design activities:
Mechanical calculations such as wall thickness, buckling check, spanning and expansion calculations.
Pipeline stability analysis
Tie-in and expansion spool stress analysis using CAESAR II or equivalent software
Pipeline crossing analysis and design
Preparation scope of work for various 3rd party activities such Topographical & geotechnical surveys, major road crossings using HDD / Micro tunnelling, Hot tapping and Technical evaluation of associated bids.
Review of various technical reports developed by 3rd party Contractors
Minimum of 15 years of experience in Oil and Gas industry
Minimum of 5 years\' experience in similar role, preferably in UAE or Middle East
Experience in gas processing FEED is mandatory.
A specialist and detailed knowledge of the major mechanical equipment types
Thorough knowledge of relevant international codes and standards
