:Wood has been awarded a major project with ADNOC and we are looking to hire a PMC Materials Engineer with extensive offshore upstream oil projects experience to be based at our Abu Dhabi office.Responsibilities:
To carry out materials engineering work within a project team, supporting the project team for field development of oil & gas production facilities
To plan, organize and control the materials and corrosion engineering deliverables for the project
To manage and respond to client requirements
To support Front End Studies Team activities, including early feasibility assessments, early discussions/opportunity framing workshops, identification of early long lead items and materials requirements
When not engaged in Studies Team activities, provide materials and corrosion engineering support for engineering and procurement activities that fall under the delivery teams
To prepare materials engineering deliverables for a project in the oil and gas industry and ensure that they conform to all applicable engineering codes and standards as well as the Client\'s policies and procedures
To ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule
To provide direction and guidance on materials engineering technical queries raised by either internal or external parties
To liaise with the Client\'s Engineering, Operations and Maintenance staff as required to ensure a consistent approach to project completion
To promote safe behavior at all times
Interfacing with key disciplines to ensure corrosion threats are identified and managed for all equipment
Involve and participate in risk analysis assessment of HAZOP, HAZID, QRA, RBI, etc.
Focal point for materials monitoring provider (coupons, probes), providing management interface and compiling and interpreting results
Troubleshooting / technical assessment for materials / erosion or other similar damage modes on an ad-hoc basis
Input into Asset Integrity Management System programs requiring materials management
Prepare/review materials deliverables, including; material selection philosophy, material selection report, material selection diagrams (MSDs), corrosion monitoring philosophy, specifications for painting and coating, internal lining, cladding, fire proofing, thermal insulation, sour service, welding and NDT and cathodic protection
Support Client RBI works as helping hand for Client Materials and Corrosion TA
Perform fabrication shop inspections for various types of static/pipeline/skid package equipment
Address fabrication stage method statements, NCRs, TQs from vendors
Define testing and check points, QA/QC steps for procurement, fabrication and construction
Support workpack preparation to ensure all the fabrication and inspection details are covered for special alloys or non-metallics materials like HDPE/GRE
Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s degree in engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in the Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas industry, including minimum (5) years (preferred) in GCC region
Must have at least five (5) years of experience in similar position in a mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects
Offshore experience is must, whilst ADNOC experience is desired.
Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software
Experience of working in a multi - project / multi - disciplined environment and throughout all engineering and design phases of projects
Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage
