:Wood is currently looking to recruit a Senior Instrument Engineer to be part of the PMC team on Al Dhafra Petroleum project. This role will be based in Abu Dhabi city.Responsibilities:
Design and check all Instrument work on assigned projects
Execute assigned work in accordance with the applicable Project Procedures, DDI and Standards, including Project Procedures on Safety and Quality Control, within the man-hour and cost budgets and the project schedule targets
Review other discipline drawings such as Equipment datasheet
Attend coordination meetings and engineering review meetings with supplier as required
Assist Procurement Department with the expediting of supplier documents
Review and approve supplier documents for Instrumentation
Ensure effective & efficient Inter-discipline coordination including coordination with client engineer
Review instrument aspects of package unit supplier\'s drawings
Qualifications:
B.S. or equivalent degree in Instrument or / and Control System Engineering from an accredited university with minimum 15 years relevant experience in the oil / gas industry
Must have been in CONSULTANT\'s organisation for at least 5 years in similar position and must have previous PMC experience
Experience in Design of Wellhead Towers & Process Platforms
FEED oil and gas experience in general and FEED experience in specific on Compressor Control Systems and Generator Unit (highly preferred)
Knowledge and understanding on Hazardous Area Classification
Strong Experience on Systems (DCS, ESD, F&G, etc) engineering knowledge
Knowledge on F&G detectors technology selection
Fully familiar with international codes, standards and recommended practices to be adopted during EPC phases of oil / gas projects
Thorough knowledge of DCS, ESD, Fire and Gas and SCADA systems generally incorporated in major oil / gas project is essential
