:Wood has been awarded a major project with ADNOC and we are looking to hire a PMC Lead Mechanical HVAC Engineer with extensive offshore upstream oil projects experience to be based at our Abu Dhabi office.Responsibilities:
Design Basis, HVAC Calculations and analysis, Design schemes including generation of all key drawings like Zone and pressure diagram, Air Flow and Instrumentation diagram, Air flow Pattern plan drawings.
Technical expertise in relevant design software for HVAC Engineering Design.
Participation in Reliability and Redundancy studies, incorporation in system design and interfaces requirements.
Review, supervision of 3D Model and CAD based deliverables. Assist in internal and external model reviews.
HVAC Material & equipment specification, Equipment Mechanical Datasheets, Equipment List and Schedules.
Material Requisitions, Subcontract Requisitions with relevant BOQ/MTO and Technical Bid Evaluations as per relevant Technical Practices.
Functional and Performance specification of complete system.
Conversant with Local and International Design Codes and Standards such as Uptime Institute. ASHRAE, AHRI/ANSI/ARI, AMCA, SMACNA, NFPA, CIBSE and BS-EN Standards.
Conversant with International Design Standards for Pharma Application such as ISO standards, ISPE, FDA etc
Review, check and approve HVAC deliverables produced with in the HVAC project team as per Project Quality Plan, as required.
Able to lead, motivate & guide team comprising Engineers & Designer
Responsibility for quality of design for HVAC deliverables to satisfy all contractual requirements
Providing technical solutions that meet project requirements and being able to agree these with client stakeholders
Demonstrable detailed design capability that translates to an integrated, sustainable, energy efficient HVAC design
Understand the project scope of work, budget, and schedule, particularly as it applies to HVAC / Plumbing and Building Services Design.
Responsible for developing layouts, schedule, and control schemes as applicable to Project. Responsible to perform HVAC Calculations using computer software such as Elite & HAP.
Responsible to perform pump head & Duct pressure drop calculations.
Responsible for preparing HVAC design criteria and familiarity with ASHRAE and international standards.
Prepares and reviews engineering studies, design drawings such as HVAC & Plumbing Layouts and documents such as HVAC / Plumbing and all related material and equipment specifications.
Responsible for Material Take off for HVAC systems and Plumbing Systems.
Responsible for safe, technically accurate and cost-effective designs and deliverables for refineries, chemical plants, Petro-chemical plants and oil and gas production facilities
Responsible for compliance with applicable specifications and standards
Ensure coordination with other in-house departments.
Perform review of relevant vendor information regarding equipment selection.
Responsible for the identification of training needs and training in junior engineers
Assists in the development of discipline project documentation and design data records.
Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s degree in mechanical engineering.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in Oil and Gas industry
Minimum of 5 years\' experience in similar role, preferably in UAE or Middle East
Experience in gas processing FEED is mandatory.
A specialist and detailed knowledge of the major mechanical equipment types
Thorough knowledge of relevant international codes and standards
