  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate the activities of plumbers and related personnel in the installation, repair, and maintenance of piping systems.
  • Assign daily tasks to plumbing staff and monitor work progress to ensure compliance with project schedules and standards.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide necessary training to enhance team skills.
  • Supervise the installation of plumbing systems such as water supply, drainage, sewage, and gas pipelines in oil and gas facilities.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and repair of plumbing systems to minimize disruptions in operations.
  • Coordinate periodic inspections to identify potential plumbing issues and recommend solutions.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures and regulations for plumbing work, ensuring compliance with oil and gas industry standards and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) guidelines.
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and ensure the use of appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) by the plumbing team.
  • Ensure plumbing installations are compliant with relevant local and international codes and standards (e.g., BS, ASTM).
  • Ensure all plumbing work meets the quality standards required for the oil and gas industry.
  • Inspect completed work for accuracy, workmanship, and proper installation as per design specifications.
  • Collaborate with other engineering and quality control departments to ensure the seamless operation of integrated systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing-related issues, including blockages, leaks, and pipe failures.
  • Propose and implement timely and cost-effective solutions to avoid operational downtime.
  • Provide technical guidance to the team on complex plumbing problems.
  • Maintain accurate records of plumbing activities, including work orders, repairs, maintenance logs, and inventory.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the project manager or site manager.
  • Document any deviations from plans or procedures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor and manage the inventory of plumbing materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Ensure timely procurement of materials required for plumbing projects to avoid delays.
  • Ensure the proper use and maintenance of plumbing tools and equipment.
  • iaise with external vendors and contractors to ensure timely and quality completion of outsourced plumbing services.
  • Inspect contractor work and verify compliance with contract terms and project specifications.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as electrical, HVAC, and civil engineering teams, to coordinate plumbing work and ensure the smooth integration of systems.
  • Attend project meetings and collaborate with site managers and engineers to discuss project timelines, challenges, and progress.
Qualifications
  • Education: Diploma or Technical Certification in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in plumbing, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role in the oil and gas industry.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Journeyman Plumber License or equivalent.
  • HSE Knowledge: Strong understanding of HSE regulations and industry best practices.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English is required;
