Job Description

• Project Planning: Collaborating with project manager to understand project requirements, specifications, and timelines. Developing a plumbing plan that meets the project's needs and complies with local regulations and standards.
• Quantity Takeoff: Conducting accurate quantity takeoffs for plumbing materials and components required for the project. This involves analyzing construction drawings, specifications, and project plans to determine the quantities of pipes, fittings, valves, pumps, fixtures, and other plumbing materials needed.
• Design and Documentation: Creating detailed plumbing designs, drawings, and specifications for the project. Ensuring that the plumbing system is efficient, reliable, and cost-effective. Documenting all design changes and maintaining accurate records.
• Material Procurement: Identifying the required plumbing materials, equipment, and fixtures for the project. Liaising with suppliers to procure high-quality materials at competitive prices. Ensuring timely delivery and managing inventory.
• Installation and Supervision: Overseeing the installation of plumbing systems on-site. Coordinating with contractors, plumbers, and technicians to ensure proper installation, adherence to design specifications, and compliance with safety regulations.
• Quality Assurance: Conducting regular inspections and quality checks to ensure that plumbing systems are installed correctly and function optimally. Identifying and resolving any issues or defects promptly. Ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Cost Management: Monitoring project costs related to plumbing work, including materials, labor, and equipment. Preparing cost estimates and budgets for plumbing activities. Identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
• Collaboration and Communication: Working closely with other engineering disciplines, such as electrical and mechanical engineers, to coordinate plumbing installations with other building systems. Effectively communicating with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and consultants.
• Health and Safety: Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations on-site. Identifying potential hazards and implementing appropriate safety measures. Promoting a culture of safety among team members and subcontractors.
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance during the construction phase. Conducting regular maintenance and inspections of plumbing systems after installation. Addressing any operational issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Documentation and Reporting: Candidate must have a comprehensive understanding of various project documentation processes. This includes preparing and submitting documents such as Work Inspection Requests (WIRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Construction Variation Instructions (CVIs).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month

Experience:
