Job Description

Bachelor's Degree:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.

Work Experience:

• Accumulating several years of work experience under the supervision of a licensed professional engineer (PE).
• at least 5 years experience as Plumbing Engineer
• Develop detailed designs for plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and sewage systems.
• Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify designs.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Collaborate with architects, construction managers, and other engineers to integrate plumbing systems into overall building designs.
• Prepare detailed project plans, cost estimates, and schedules.
• Specify materials, fixtures, and equipment required for plumbing systems.
• Ensure that specifications meet project requirements and industry standards.
• Oversee the installation of plumbing systems by contractors and tradespeople.
• Conduct site visits to inspect work and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
• Perform tests on plumbing systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and efficiently.
• Identify and troubleshoot any issues or defects.
• Develop maintenance schedules and procedures for plumbing systems.
• Recommend and implement upgrades or modifications to improve system performance and efficiency.
• Ensure all plumbing work adheres to local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
• Stay updated on changes to codes and standards.
• Maintain accurate records of designs, installations, inspections, and maintenance activities.
• Prepare reports and documentation for project and regulatory authorities.
• Communicate with clients to understand their requirements and provide updates on project progress.
• Address client concerns and provide technical advice and solutions.
• Incorporate sustainable practices and technologies into plumbing designs to improve water conservation and energy efficiency.
