Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Plumbing and Firefighting Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and development of plumbing and fire protection systems for various building projects. This role involves collaborating with architects and other engineers, utilizing design software, and ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design Development : Create detailed designs and specifications for plumbing and fire protection systems, including water supply, drainage, and firefighting systems.
• Software Utilization : Use CAD and BIM software to produce accurate and comprehensive design documents, including plans, sections, and details.
• System Calculations : Perform hydraulic and load calculations to ensure optimal system performance and efficiency.
• Regulatory Compliance : Ensure designs adhere to all relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations, preparing necessary documentation for permits and inspections.
• Collaboration : Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions and resolve any conflicts.
• Project Management : Assist in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting, providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Quality Assurance : Review and verify designs for accuracy and completeness, conducting site visits as necessary to ensure implementation meets design intent.
• Sustainability Practices : Incorporate sustainable design principles and energy-efficient solutions into plumbing and firefighting systems.
Qualifications:
• Education : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience : [3-5 years] of experience in plumbing and fire protection system design, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Technical Skills : Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic modeling tools.
