Job Description

A Plumber cum Electrician is a skilled professional responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing and electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This dual role requires expertise in both plumbing and electrical systems, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of water, sewage, and electrical infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and Maintenance:
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fittings, fixtures, and drainage systems.
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, outlets, and lighting fixtures.
• Troubleshooting:
• Diagnose and repair plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, and broken pipes.
• Diagnose and repair electrical issues such as faulty wiring, short circuits, and electrical equipment malfunctions.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards and building codes.
• Perform regular inspections of plumbing and electrical systems to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Customer Service:
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions.
• Provide estimates for repair and installation work.
• Offer guidance on the maintenance of plumbing and electrical systems.
• Documentation:
• Maintain accurate records of all installations, repairs, and inspections.
• Prepare reports on completed work and any necessary follow-up actions.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in installing and repairing plumbing systems, including knowledge of various pipes, fixtures, and tools.
• Proficiency in installing and repairing electrical systems, including knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring, and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and address issues efficiently.
• Experience:
• Proven experience as a plumber and electrician.
• Knowledge of local plumbing and electrical codes and regulations.
• Certifications:
• Relevant certifications in plumbing and electrical work.
• A valid driver's license may be required.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and at heights.
