Job Description

Job Purpose:

Proficiently programming PLCs, particularly Allen Bradley (Rockwell Studio 5000, RS Logix 5000), along with expertise in HMI systems such as FactoryTalk View SE/ME and SCADA. Familiarity with other platforms like Yokogawa and Siemens is beneficial. Responsibilities include designing, testing, troubleshooting PLC systems, and creating user-friendly HMI/SCADA interfaces for efficient industrial automation. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, effective problem-solving, and staying updated with industry trends. Occasional travel may be needed for site support.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Design/Review and detailed engineering for filed instrumentation & control system (PLC, DCS, SCADA, ESD and F&G system) and loop diagram.
• Design/review automation control system, control philosophy and cause & Effect chart.
• Responsible to prepare design documents, execution of projects and co-ordinate with the purchase department for procurement activities.
• Understanding of engineering documentation such as P&ID, process flow diagram and standard operating procedure.
• Interact with client for Technical Clarifications / Questions.
• Review customer specifications and provide operability input to designs.
• Preparing Bill of material, cable schedule, instrument hook up, Alarm list, Instrument IO list, JB wiring, Instrument Index, Load list and interconnection diagram.
• Co-ordinate with the various engineering discipline and production supervisor for ongoing jobs and complete projects as per project schedule.
• Follow up all engineering/Quality document to meet the SDRL (Supplier Document Register List) deliverable dates.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Installation and commissioning.
• Work on troubleshooting and debugging PLC programs to ensure that they operate correctly. You should be able to identify the source of the problem, develop a solution, and implement the necessary changes.

Pre-Requisites:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Automation, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 Years of experience in oil & gas industry.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as IEC 61131-3, ISA-88, and ISA-95 is desirable.
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, and Ethernet/IP is also a plus.
