Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Plant/Workshop Supervisor to oversee the efficient supervision and operation of the depot workshop, council's plant and vehicle fleet, as well as field repairs and servicing of plant and equipment. The successful candidate will ensure seamless coordination between sites and management while maintaining a high standard of operational efficiency and safety. Duties & Responsibilities Coordinate with project engineers and managers to resolve plant-related issues on-site. Arrange vehicles and equipment as per approved requests from management. Schedule periodic maintenance of equipment/vehicles to avoid work disruptions. Address roadside breakdowns with a proactive approach, including on-site physical presence during and after hours. Work closely with site personnel to streamline daily operational challenges. Plan and analyze work schedules for mechanics and technicians across day and night shifts. Conduct daily inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Maintain up-to-date handover lists for vehicles, equipment, mechanics, technicians, drivers, and operators. Oversee the testing of drivers, operators, mechanics, and technicians to ensure competence. Conduct daily site visits to address and resolve on-ground issues. Assume full responsibility for all plant-related work. Research and source spare parts both locally and internationally as required. Prepare detailed reports on plant operations and issues for management review. Key Requirements Demonstrated experience in managing plant operations, vehicle fleets, and workshops. Strong ability to coordinate with various stakeholders, including project teams and management. Proven skills in scheduling, maintenance, and resolving mechanical issues. Knowledge of local and international spare parts sourcing. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. A proactive and hands-on approach to resolving operational challenges.
