As a Plant Director at Lucy Switchgear, you will be responsible for managing the plant effectively with the available resources, in the most cost-effective manner. You will be ensuring that the plant profitability is achieved as per the budget targets and overall production targets are achieved as per the SOP.
You will have three direct reports and will be managing a total employee strength of 400 people from a multicultural background. You will draw on your previous experience working within a matrix structure to collaborate well with global stakeholders and enable data-driven decision-making. You will also utilize your previous work experience in switchgear plant operations to facilitate change and continuous improvement.
Your key responsibilities would include driving cost reductions, right first-time product quality, meeting the environmental and H&S standards set by the organization and Local Regulatory Authorities. You will continuously work towards achieving organization\xe2\x80\x99s Vision, Mission, Goals, Objectives and Strategies and will be proactive in taking advantage of changing technologies and implementation of manufacturing and management best practices.

Key Accountabilities:
1. Strategy formulation
As a member of the Operations team, accountable for working with the Manufacturing Operations Director to produce the Manufacturing and operations strategy, identify key goals and initiatives that will enable operations to support the business in gaining competitive advantage and deliver business results.
Implement the manufacturing operations strategy for on-time and in-full fulfillment of product demand, across all regions that delivers high quality products
Working with the Manufacturing operations Director, develop organizational goals for the facility which are aggressive, yet achievable, and tied to long-term goals of the company.
Guarantee the delivery of the business strategy, by ensuring all Operations team members have regular performance management meetings with their managers.
Liaison with Local Governing bodies like JAFZA, DCD and EHS/Trakhees for various Audits, Permits and Approvals.
Innovation: All Cost Reduction and CI Projects with defined Targets as per Budgeted smart objectives.
2. Efficiency
Improve production and plant efficiency by continuous improvement
As per rolling MTP Plan
Recover cost of factory present cost
Oversee and direct the planning, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes and operations for new or existing products.
Create a flexible team to manage the production requirements based on the SOP

Work with manufacturing operations director to implement various new technologies to improve productivity
Accountable for delivering process excellence and the effective use of the Team\xe2\x80\x99s resources and continuous improvement efforts.
Implement Operations administrative policies, procedures, and standards as directed by the Manufacturing Operations Director
Coordinate work through effective collaboration with all parts of the Lucy Electric organization.
6. HSE
Drive effective use operations resources and continuous improvement efforts. Define, drive, and deliver key production and process improvements
Drive safety initiatives through HSE and ensure it instill within organization
7. Revenue, Cost & Profitability
Manage profitability of the factory to be a profitable factory operations
Optimize S&OP planning balancing revenue maximization with meeting customer requirements
Oversee all aspects of inventory management to optimize inventory targets; drive inventory reduction program
Develop and manage site budget and spending in support of company objectives for cost control while maintaining effectiveness.
Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure on-time in-full delivery targets are achieved.
Manage the operations costs and budgets; strive to improve the overall financial and key performance indicators of the business.
Drive Material costs reductions through local purchasing managers and global purchasing manager to achieve better MPV results compared to standard costs

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge: -
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or above in management, electrical, mechanical, industrial engineering or related fields.
Understand manufacturing business, people management, supply chain management, financial management, quality management, and innovation.
Minimum Experience:
Possess experience in middle or senior management min. 10-15 years.
