The Role
Our Well Established and regarded Interior Fit Out Contracting client has a new requirement for a well experienced Planning Manager to join their team in Dubai to work on high profile Interior Fit Out, joinery and refurbishment projects in the Emirates. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Planning Manager on high end interior fit out and joinery projects in the UAE and have worked in the capacity of Planning Manager for a recognized interior fit out contracting company previously. This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent opportunity employed by our client. Key Responsibilities: o The Planning Manager leads the planning, scheduling, and resource management efforts of projects to ensure timely completion. o This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, monitoring progress, analyzing delays, optimizing resource utilization, and providing reports to stakeholders to enhance project efficiency. o Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including task sequencing, duration estimation, and resource allocation, using industry-standard tools. o Collaborate with project stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with project objectives. o Monitor project progress against baseline schedules, identifying and addressing potential delays or issues as needed. o Analyze causes of delays and disruptions, conduct delay analysis, and communicate findings to relevant parties. o Facilitate regular project status meetings to discuss schedule updates, resource allocation, and risks. o Collaborate with the cost control team to manage projects within approved budgets. o Assess resource requirements and availability, optimizing resource utilization through necessary adjustments. o Develop and present weekly and monthly reports on project status, progress, and deviations from the baseline schedule. o Work closely with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment. o Provide input into the development of risk management strategies and contingency plans. o Stay updated on industry best practices, new tools, and technologies related to project planning and management.
Requirements
Planning Manager Experience: o Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; Master's degree is advantageous. o Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in project planning and scheduling, preferably in Interior Fit Out, joinery and refurbishment projects. o Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and other scheduling tools. o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address scheduling conflicts and delays effectively. o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders. o Detail-oriented mindset to manage complex project schedules accurately. o Knowledge of cost control, budget management, and risk assessment. o Leadership abilities to guide teams, resolve conflicts, and ensure project success
