Job Description

:Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate in the development and preparation of design and planning programmes, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Oversee and track project progress, implementing effective monitoring systems to ensure adherence to schedules and milestones.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports and analyses on project advancements, highlighting achievements, obstacles, and potential solutions.
  • Liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaborative relationships, and ensuring alignment between planning, execution, and project objectives.
  • Utilize proficiency in project management to manage and oversee projects, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and monitoring project progress to ensure timely and successful completion.
  • Apply strong analytical abilities to assess complex project data, identify trends, anticipate potential issues, and propose effective solutions to maintain project timelines.
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) to efficiently create, manage, and update project schedules.
  • Establish Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and detailed schedules using Critical Path Method (CPM) and Program Evaluation Review Technique (PERT) as applicable.
  • Monitor project progress based on key milestones and performance indicators (KPIs), providing timely schedule impact reviews and integrated project schedule updates.
  • Prepare recovery schedules and conduct time impact analysis as needed.
  • Integrate resources and costs into schedules for budgets, expenditure, and resource analysis purposes.
  • Ensure compliance by reviewing and approving EPC contractors\', Sub-contractors\', and Vendors\' Project Control deliverables including project schedules and progress measurement systems.
  • Prepare and track invoices in accordance with invoicing procedures.
  • Issue weekly/monthly reports to clients within agreed cut-off dates to assess project progress, address concerns, and identify potential shortfalls.
  • Coordinate and facilitate project progress review meetings as necessary.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Planning Engineer or similar role in construction projects.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling techniques (CPM, PERT) and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to anticipate issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Professional certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
