Job Purpose: Job Purpose:To effectively supervise and develop the functions within Operational Planning, Asset LifeCycle Management, Scheduling and Reliability & Data Integrity & Standards Group (DISG) sections for all aircraft types, engines and components. Carry out the preparation, planning, technical reviews, analysis, verification, regulatory and performance reporting of key airworthiness tasks, reliability information, thereby ensuring that the Emirates fleet is maintained to the required standards of quality and airworthiness as defined by the regulatory authority and Engineering Procedures Manual.Job Outline:

Administer the day-to-day work program of the unit, evaluate the quality of the work, continually review systems and procedures to ensure efficient running of allocated activities, consistent workload distribution and implementation of necessary improvements
,- Ensure that the section is represented in meetings and escalate any issues that will affect and delay the implementation of the modifications of any relevant programme.
Supervise and organize team resources to ensure staff is properly trained, guided, motivated and developed to perform its day to day duties in order to meet continued fleet growth requirements, system enhancements, improved working efficiency and increased productivity and performance standards. Also supervise the improvements with process and procedures when implementing the use of new technologies across the Department.
SPECIFIC
Operational Planning:
Ensure the planning of compliance of all maintenance tasks within the scope of the respective three planning horizons Line, Line Support, Base Operations and Base Heavy Maintenance.
Supervise the day to day functional maintenance planning activities to ensure aircraft maintenance work packages that are compiled and issued in a timely manner considering cost effectiveness, optimum utilisation of aircraft ground time and no disruption to operation
Provide technical audit of Work Package output and technical content for all planned maintenance activities (Special Engineering Work Card, Engineering Order, Engineering Work Instruction, Maintenance Control Request and Deferred Defect review) of the specific work packages ensuring work packages can be executed within the constraints of resources and ground time.
Be a focal point for immediate compliance issues on a 24/7 basis, in Line Maintenance Planning, Base Operations and Line Support. To supervise the output for Operational Planning & Production Control for full 24/7 support
To be independently responsible for the scoping of a fully defined c-check (or base heavy owned event i.e. paint / landing gear) as well as for the appropriate Operational Maintenance Planning team.
Reliability:
Conduct detailed analysis of system defects for the assigned fleet type when alerts are exceeded, Initiation of reliability issues based on technical delays data, Pilot reports (PIREPS) and aircraft incidents review.
Supervise the Component and Systems reliability for the assigned fleet type reporting and review the reports to spot trends and conduct in-depth analysis to review the findings and assess the root causes. Initiate workflows to highlight the same for ensuring corrective actions.
Conduct Rogue unit analysis for the assigned fleet type in accordance with established procedures, ensure timely updates of the workflow and dashboards for monitoring.
Conduct Extended Twin Engine Operating Procedures (ETOPS) reliability analysis, monitor and calculated in-flight engine shut down rates and highlight adverse trends.
Conduct analysis to support the Reliability Committee Meetings with in-depth statistical and trend analysis and also conduct root cause analysis to ensure that appropriate measures can be taken by concerned stakeholders. Where necessary be able to create the necessary reports, dashboards and presentations.
Conduct analysis and review of reliability data integrity challenges and provide results for further actions. Conduct analysis of maintenance tasks and modifications effectiveness and all ad hoc requests by stakeholders to ensure that a comprehensive review of reliability status and or data integrity challenges are addressed proactively.
Asset Life Cycle Management:
Manage specific areas of the Life Cycle and engage in detailed investigation to ensure all documentation is reviewed and correct, as per Departmental Standards Manual, for onward processing towards End-Of-Lease activity. This includes, but is not limited to ? Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Modifications, Aircraft Damage/Repair histories, Aircraft Component history, Component Life Limited Part (LLP), Back-to-birth documentation production, Maintenance histories, Certification and Statements review.
Supervise in the effective control and response of all discrepancies coming from various stakeholders on effective use of LLPs coming into EK.
Support investigations related to Compliance related issues seen within the Department.
Supervise the improvements with process and procedures when implementing the use of new technologies across the Department.
Be part of the Project Team responsible for Outsourced Maintenance activities where duties will include the following ? In-Check package amendment management, clarification of all workcard related queries and requests from the MRO, perform Quality checks of completed documentation, general management and liaison with the MRO for managing the ongoing EK material requisition process in Ultramain. To include scanning and uploading of completed documentation to Stream, updating of component transactions in Ultramain. To ensure package closure in Ultramain once a Certificate Of Release To Service has been issued by the MRO. Updation of non-routine data into Ultramain and liaison with the MRO in arranging retrieval and shipping of hard copy check package, post check completion.
Qualifications & Experience: Qualifications :
Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)
Bachelor's Degree Engineering in Aeronautical subjects Mechanical/ Avionics/ Electronic/ Technical Engineering or holder of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence.
Experience :
Engineering. Other : 5+ Years
5+ years experience required in Maintenance Planning, Aircraft scheduling, Reliability, Asset Management or as a Modifications Engineer ideally on Emirates fleet types.
At least 2 years in an MRO or Airline environment, and managing people and performance
Knowledge/skills:
Detailed understanding of aircraft/power plant systems and components.
Detailed knowledge of aircraft regulatory requirements and maintenance documentation.
Fully conversant with MSG 3 logic and MRB deviation. - Sound knowledge configuration control and management.
Sound knowledge of computer applications (e.g. MS Office). Knowledge of ULTRAMIAN is an advantage.
Detailed knowledge of Asset Management function in relation to aircraft End-Of-Lease activity with Lessors.
Knowledge of MROs an advantage.
